This is frightening to me...Not that am scared or something but this figure is quite alarming....Report getting to me indicates that this years number of hiv/Aids victims is higher than that of last year by 100000....My people i dont knw what to say. The commissioner Olaokun Soyinka said that this years figure was higher than the previous year. He said this in a press conference in Abeokute organised in preparation of the World Aids day
He said that the prevalence rate which kept rising and falling and maintaining and undefined pattern showed that the state was not winning the war against hiv.
He said that the fight was from all corners including Education, sensitization nd provision on anti-retroviral drugs
He also said that the town has a high rate of youth and students, the ones well struck by the virus
